If you're a fan of the first 2 movies, you'll probably like this one, but somehow, the word "hilarity" doesn't much apply this time around. Maybe it's because Greg has gotten a little older, or maybe the scope of the movie is bigger, or maybe it's because Greg's family aren't seen much this time. Or maybe it's because nothing in Greg's life this time around seems to be truly at stake. Whatever the reason, the movie is slightly less funny. But the movie does have some interesting ideas, so I guess it's still worth the ticket price. Just don't keep your hopes up high, at least not in the laughs department.

If you liked the original 1982 version of The Thing then you will like this. It is very much a homage to John Carpenter's version and is a prequel to the events of the 1982 film.
Only slight gripe is that it doesn't take the story or the plot of this 'frozen-murderous-alien-who-comes-back-to-life' any further than the 1950's and 1980's versions of this film. But as a monster feature in the desolate wastes of Antarctica it is superb.

I have had the pleasure to work with Accessible Events Promotion for a few months now. I have seen the organisation evolve from a strong idea to a fully fledged social enterprise with not only a great product (the online event calendar) but something that was desesperatly needed. I would invite anybody who has accessible needs and their family to become a member. The information produced on a weekly basis to promote a wide range of accessible events and help individuals find entertainment opportunities that suit them is excellent. AEP is doing a tremendous job for people in our community. Support them, join them and pass on the word.
