Accessible Event Promotions Limited is a not for profit company founded in December 2009.
We are led by four Directors who are passionate about access to community and social events for people with access needs. The project is led by deaf or disabled people with a mix of key skills in usability, accessibility, web development and arts, culture and community. See more about our Directors here
What do we do?
We work with partners to collect and display information about all accessible arts, community, cultural and leisure events. Currently we provide information about audio described events, access for autism, captioned and BSL interpreted events. Other access will develop as society and our work evolves.
Why do we do it?
Providing information about accessible events encourages organisations to ensure their events are accessible. It strengthens the deaf and disabled community with confident deaf or disabled people enjoying their lives, meeting their friends and being a full part of society.
